Thinking of Decorating with Orange?

If you love orange, but are afraid to use it, this is the time of year you can get away with it whether it works or not! You won't have to answer all those sneering questions like, "Do you REALLY like orange?". Use pumpkins and mini gourds, candles and fall wreaths with the oranges, cranberry and golds in them.

Then after you've lived with it through Halloween and Thanksgiving, you can decide if you really like living with it. If you did, then get out the paint and get to work! If you're chicken to use it in the main living area, try out a guest bath or sewing room.

Try painting alternating squares or stripes of orange and white. Maybe just do one wall. And remember there are many shades of orange! If the solid orange is just too risky for you, use two or three shades of orange and layer them with a sponge technique. Or just go back over the orange with some watered down white.

  • I was just browsing various blogs as I was doing a search on the word halloween, and I just wanted to say that I really like what you've done with your blog, even though it wasn't particularly related to what I searched for. I appreciate your postings, and your blog is a good example of how a blog should be done. I've only just recently started a Posters website - feel free to visit it when you get a chance if you wish. Much success, antonio.
